Sync from Android 11 not working.

I have a google Pixel 4 XL.  After I received the update to Android 11, the sync has not been working.

Settings > Account > Last Sync

The last sync shows last sync was 10/9/20

When I press the "Last Sync", the sync icon spins for several minutes but the sync fails

  I have the same problem with my Huawei P30 on Android 10.  Last sync was 10/10/20

  I'm sorry for the trouble syncing your data. 
  
  From your device, please open this email and tap on the following link:
  https://www.gaiagps.com/open/sync.forceallpush
  
  It should launch Gaia GPS and start a sync. When finished, it should show the current time next to Last Sync, but depending on how much data is syncing, it could take a few minutes.
  
  If you still have issues after that, please contact Support here so we can troubleshoot further.
