Change color of new track at the start
AnsweredIs there a way that I can change the color of a track as it is recording? Sometimes at the start of recording I see that the color that the app chooses is the same as the color of past tracks already visible, and that's very confusing (or graphically not very effective). I've found plenty of information on changing the color of a track /after/ it's done recording - but is there a way to change the color at the outset?
I'm using IOS
Thanks.

Thanks for posting.
Currently, actively recording tracks are displayed in red and this isn't able to be adjusted. Since this color will not change, you can pick the color of past track recordings accordingly.

Oddly this is not my experience. While recording several tracks over multiple days, each time I started a new track it was a different color. Using iOS.

I'm so sorry for the mix-up - you are right! Active track recordings do display as a random color rather than just red and unfortunately, this can't be adjusted at this time.
This post can serve as the official feature request for adding this ability. I encourage others interested in this idea to upvote or comment on this post.8 -
It would be much better if, for the time being, the active track always recorded in the same color so I can choose the color of the route I am following for maximum contrasr. This should also be a simple software change - 2 or 3 lines of code at best.

I am still waiting for the active track color change to happen. Always use red for current. I cannot do this in gaia. this keeps me from using gaia as my primary mapping program.

@sapmai
It is now possible to change the color of the active track.
1. Start recording a track.
2. The track in progress will appear in the Saved menu. From the Saved Menu, follow these steps to change the color:- Change the Color of Tracks, Routes, and Areas on iOS
- Change the Color Of Your Saved Routes and Tracks on Android
3. Go back to the Map tab and you will see the track in your chosen color.
