Track up, north up

Looks like a few posts about this. I've seen one post somewhere where someone at least could select track up but it wouldn't stay there after zooming. But I can't even find this option on my iPhone. Anyone?
Would sure be nice and even seems like it should be a basic function to choose these options

You can switch between North up and Course/Track up mode on an iPhone with the crosshair icon:
