Ascent and descent overstated on Wildwood Trail in Portland Oregon when creating a route

Creating a route for segments of this trail consistently report much higher ascent/descent than is recorded on multiple different GPS devices and other mapping software. This happens consistently. I have not experienced this on other trails.
