Source and accuracy of Private Lands overlay

The Private Land Overlay is, according to the documentation from "county plat maps". How can I determine is the data is current and accurate? Can Gaia GPS provide more information about where specific labels arise, e.g. which county and date?

The Private Land Overlay is updated once every quarter. The data is sourced from a 3rd party and intended to match your local county plat book. When in doubt, I recommend contacting your local country assessor.
