Changing top control bar on map to show elevation change

  When I first opened the Gaia program, when I was recording a tract , it showed the ongoing elevation change in the top control bar and then it disappeared.  I can't figure out how to get back to the control bar.  any help would be appreciated.

  You can adjust the upper control bar to display the elevation stats by following these steps for Apple or Android.
