Searching for trails

Newbie here.  I don't understand how the Explore Map search works.  I type in a hike I'm interested in doing and they do show up in the dropdown list, but when I select one the page renders the area in which I live, not the hike I want to see.  What am I doing wrong?  

I'm in Chrome browser on Windows 10

  Hi there, I'm sorry you are having trouble finding hikes.

   

  Can you double check you are searching for hikes on the Hiking Search website?
  
  - On the top menu bar, click Hikes to search for hikes.

   

  
  
  
  
  Searching for hikes here will bring up details and stats for different hikes.
