Payment for membership using google play

Hi,

I would like to subscribe to the basic membership, and pay a portion of the $24.99 using a gift card on google play. (Ie, pay $15 with a gift card, and the remainder, $9.99, with my credit card.)
Is that possible?

When I am in the 'payment options' in the membership sign up, it says "Insufficient balance" under the $15 gift card, and is not clickable to let me pay using the gift card.

    I'm sorry you are having an issue using your Google Play Store gift card towards a Gaia GPS Membership.

    Based on the this Google Play Help Forum, to split the purchase between your gift card and a credit card you will need to select the credit card payment method and then there will be an option to apply your gift card balance.

    1. Ensure your Google Play gift card is properly redeemed and has the correct balance.

    2. Go to Google Play and try to purchase a gift card for the remaining $9.99 (if available). Redeem it, and now you should have a single balance in your Google Play account covering the full subscription cost.

    3. Return to the membership sign-up and choose Google Play as your payment method. This time, the "Insufficient balance" message shouldn't appear since you've balanced it out with the additional gift card.
