Why do stats change when I save a route?
When traced routes are saved they show vastly different stats. What gives?
For example, when I trace the Gabriellino Trail in Southern California, it shows 27.26 miles, 5,255 ft of elevation gain, and "6,2..." (there is plenty of room on the screen, so I'm not sure why this truncates on my iPhone SE) feet of elevation loss. When I look at the route after saving, it now says 27.26 miles, 9,041 ft of elevation gain, and 9,999 ft of elevation loss.
By the way, when I actually ran the trail, I only accumulated 4,788 ft of elevation gain, including some wrong turns (Sunto 9 Baro, stable weather). While I haven't imported the track to Gaia, the XY location of the trail generally seemed accurate.

Can you click “Submit a Request” above and include a copy of your route so we can take a closer look?0
