Android version Crashing and other issues
Went on 8 hr ride on forest trails. Had downloaded maps and hit record. App crashed 6 times at least in the 8 hours. I was using a Samsung Note 10.1 tablet. Hit record and each time it crashed recording was gone, didn't continue when restarted so I don't have a complete track. I gave up on recording after three restarts. Also even when it didn't crash the Location button would change back from tracking my current location. I would look up every so often and have to hit the button to follow with me again. I am running one map with an additional overlay (satalite with labels and USFS 2016)
Is this a known issue?

Not sure if my issue is related, but maybe it will help someone. I've used Gaia GPS for 4 or so years and it's mostly worked well. Recently, though, the app started crashing like crazy on my Android phone. It had trouble loading maps and every time I would try to zoom, it would take forever to start displaying map details and would usually just crash. Very frustrating, especially since I was in the middle of a hike and had not navigation aside from the app.
I eventually started messing around with settings and found that under Settings -> Account, unselecting "Use Cellular Data for Sync" completely fixed the issue.
