Android Emulator on Windows 10?

Has anyone tried running the android app under an emulator such as BlueStacks on a windows machine?

I've got a pretty powerful Windows Rugged Tablet - and a delicate iPad.  Can't use either for GAIA.  the iPad has no GPS (so that's useless) - I can connect or at least buy a GPS modual for the Tablet, but there's no windows app. The Browser version is useless with out a dataplan - which I'd rather not buy.

So, as nice as this software is - I'm out of luck unless an android emlator works.
