Missing sections of maps

I accessed the app yesterday and loaded the 1900 topo map but several sections are missing. Is this normal or should all sections load on the map. Does this mean certain areas are not available and will not populate? Thanks in advance.

  The historical map layers are published by CalTopo, a third-party vendor, and are based on the USGS's historical topo maps. The USGS does not have historical data for all areas, so some places on the map are not available and will not populate.
  
  Here's the link to the USGS's online web viewer where you can check the various historical maps available for an area:

  It's also possible to import nearly any map you find on the internet yourself:

  • Most maps are Tile Map Services (TMS).
  • Here are instructions for importing a TMS source
  • Please check the Terms of Service for any map service before importing into Gaia GPS, to ensure your use is compliant.
