Gaia classic / iOS11: Distance doesn't accumulate on tracks
I bought Gaia GPS Classic months (perhaps years) before the new version came out. Don't want to upgrade since use it infrequently. Today I used it for the first time since updating my iPhone 6S to iOS 11. Tried to record a track, but the distance just stays at 0 for most tracks I try to record. Occasionally it works, but not often. It appears the app isn't receiving GPS locations: when I walk up the block the arrowhead on the map doesn't move with me. I've tried changing Location permissions to no avail.
Is this a known bug? Is there a fix or workaround? I see on one of your responses to an App Store review of the new app that you intend to update Classic to work with iOS 11 and 12. I have version 10.9.16. Is there a newer version of the Classic app? How would I get it since I can't find the Classic app on the App Store?
Thanks in advance for an help you can provide.

I'm sorry you are having an issue recording a track in the Classic app.
I have not heard other reports of a similar issue, and 10.9.16 is the latest version of the Classic app.
It sounds like you might have done this already, but can you follow these steps to make sure that you've got location services set up? If that doesn't help, can you see if you are having a similar issue with other GPS apps? It's possible that there could be an issue with your phone's GPS chip.
You'd also be welcome to test out GPS tracking in the new version of Gaia GPS to see if that is working better for you.
