Map tile limits - what are the limits, by map source?
I've been trying to download additional maps for an upcoming trip that will take me across the Mojave Desert and Great Basin. Due to the geographic size of this trip I need to download a large offline map (I won't be connected to a hotspot or cell service). I'll also need somewhat decent resolution, due to some of the hiking locations and the need to distinguish landmarks and geological features.
I was attempting to download maps using the source "Satellite with labels" from Mapbox. However, my downloads stopped because of reaching the 160,000 tiles limit. I realize from reading similar posts in the Help forum that this is due to the high cost Gaia has to pay for some of these maps. So, my questions are:
- Is there a list anywhere showing the different limits, by map source? I couldn't find one.
- Does a Premium subscription allow you to bypass this limit?
- Is there anyway of bypassing this limit, when you need to download a large geographic area with decent resolution?

I have added a new Help Center article that lists all of the map tile limits per download: Individual Offline Map Tile Limits
The download limits apply to all the membership levels and unfortunately, it is not possible to adjust or bypass the limits. Sorry about that.
I recommend checking out the ESRI World Imagery layer which does not have a maximum tile limit like the MapBox layers.1
