It's actually quite easy.  Online select the waypoints and add to a named folder.  Then browse to that folder and data export.

Thank you so much... I knew there had to be a fairly simple way to do this. Waypoint -> Folder -> Export as KML works perfectly for what I need. Thank you again!

Glad I could help, I have about 500 to 600 data points that I routinely update and modify, in fact, I just went through that exercise using "universal CSV" export from GPS Babel to Excel where I added notes to the waypoints (water, camp, junctions etc} converted back to GPX XML, ran through an elevation lookup then back to GAIA.  Worked flawless.

Have a second similar project in anticipation of a JMT hike this summer, permit dependent.

How do you translate from GPX (or XML) to excel/csv?

Thanks. Also, I stumbled onto mygeodata which was super quick and easy and DL-free.

Hi, I'm sorry if I'm being blind but I've spent a couple hours looking at this point, and I'm not a total newbie to Gaia.

I do not see any option to export the contents of a folder, either by selecting it from Saved Items screen and clicking the vertical option dots, or going into the folder itself, even if I select all the waypoints, or if I go into to the Folder's Edit Details screen. Likewise, I'm not seeing the other options presented for individual waypoints (e.g. Share, Copy, etc). Is there something I'm missing? Knowing several GIS softwares, I'm a little disappointed that this is so opaque...

    Hi @elundgren,

You can export a folder in the app by following these steps:

It is not yet possible to export a folder from the Saved Item sidebar on the web.

However, you can export an entire folder from the folder's detail page.

    1. Go here: https://www.gaiagps.com/datasummary/folders/
    2. Click the folder's name
    3. On the folder's detail page, click Data and select GPX or KML

Learn more here: Export Data as GPX, KML, or GeoJSON from gaiagps.com

If you are still running into any issues, please contact Support here.

Thank you Melanie, I see, so there's a separate portal in the 'https://www.gaiagps.com/datasummary/folders/' link, which is available by clicking on the GaiaGPS icon on the right side of the map view–this functionality was not super intuitive! Thank you for clarifying. It would certainly be nice someday for these different views to be integrated, but I'm very glad this is possible.

    Thank you!
