Gaia GPS is stealing from us: subscriptions expire when last subscription expired, even if it is < 1yr. after you subscribe
tl;dr: Bug makes some subscriptions expire in less than a year.
Hi everyone,
You may have noticed on the website that you can't see all of the details of when you paid for different subscriptions, you see a single date, the date of expiration of each subscription:
https://www.gaiagps.com/user/subscriptions/
However, it seems like they base the expiration date only off of when your previous subscription expired. This is fine for people who renew right away, because they will still be on schedule to have their subscription last a year. But say you cancel Gaia GPS and then subscribe 6 months later. Then you will pay for a year but the expiration date will automatically be set to 6 months in the future.
I'm not positive that this is affecting more people than just me, but I was able to check when I got my “welcome to Gaia premium” email, and it corroborated my memory of when I re-subscribed (after going months without). Gaia support if of course just sending me screenshots of the expiration date that I'm trying to tell them is incorrect and of course not seriously trying to address the problem or at least verify or disprove my claim.
So I'm posting this here hoping that other people will see it and can try to demand their subscription time or money back!
