Monitor My Hike?
When I go hiking, I click the time button so that it records where I've been. I like that feature because if I get lost, or want to bushwhack back to a trail I've been on, it makes things easy.
Question. So say I'm on a hike, recording on my iphone, can my wife get on my computer GAIA GPS and see my location? There are certain hikes she would rather I not do, so being able to check my progress every now and then on the computer would probably be a neat thing.
Hope GAIA can do this, thanks.

I've seen that work in other mapping software (only when a cellular data connection is present, of course), but I haven't tried it in Gaia. If you do try it please let us know how it goes.
Cellular data service is quite spotty where I travel. When it is present, it's often so slow that it is effectively unusable. (This is why it's suggested to put your phone in Airplane Mode to speed up Gaia when in fringe coverage.) Direct-to-cell data service from satellites is coming, but it it isn't here yet. I instead rely on a Garmin InReach for live tracking.

We also use Garmin for live tracking. You can share the link and it brings up a google map showing the route taken so far, as well as the current location, and mile markers.

The only way I found to do this requires a mobile data connection the data on your phone is only synced when it is saved I guess it's possible that you could intermittently save your track your recording start recording again.
But this method it is kind of sketchy there's no way to tell if it's actually syncing
I agree this feature would be really nice you can just have a button to send my location like back country navigator has
