After sync: tracks, waypoints, routes, photos all duplicated.
What is going on? GaiaGPS duplicated routes, tracks, waypoints, etc. Why would you do that? Syncing should not be doing that. That is the whole idea behind syncing. A few years ago I couldn't trust Gaia for anything except planning a route and recording a track. Recently I thought Gaia software had gotten a little better so I am trying to keep my hikes in Gaia for reference. Nope, not today.

Did you happen to get a solution to this problem? I am having major issues as well.

Sorry Jackson, I never heard back.

Greg, I am in a mess. Literally I use this product daily and have or several years. I am literally losing years of information that I have accumulated with no way to recover it that I can find and can get NO help from any source.

If you still have your tracks, routes and waypoints then there are instructions on how to bulk export these objects from the app or a pc. I forget how to do it but you can google it. I now have everything saved outside of Gaia.
My problem was duplicates of everything. So, each day I deleted them a few at a time. Not fun but I got them all (probably around 200). I didn't know what else to do.
Next, I am very careful not to modify anything from two different devices around the same time. If I add a track or something on my pc then I do that and don't mess with the app on my phone until it syncs (and vice-versa). For me things are better after that headache. I thought about going to alltrails or something like that but it was too much to deal with.

I had that happen last sync, so as you stated, I deleted the extra tracks as well, then one day Gaia deleted the extra tracks on their own, leaving no track to be found.

Sorry that happened. It’s hard to know what in their code triggers this stuff.

Same issue here. I have hundreds of waypoints doubled
Gaia support needs to have a look here and fix this bug!
