Help with duplicating saved waypoints/tracks/routes on iOS App reinstall
Hello,
I have Gaia installed on an iPhone 13 and SE third gen as well as an iPad mini 5, all up to date.
I will usually run the iPad in my truck for maps and recording odd road tracks and then the phones for hiking and sync them up at home after a trip.
I was having trouble with the iPhone 13 being unable to sync yesterday and upload hiking tracks I recorded. The other two devices were able to sync and I was also able to see all the saved data online as well through the Gaia Webpage. I ended up going through all the normal troubleshooting to get iPhone 13 to sync with no luck. I ended up logging out on and deleting and reinstalling the app only to have all of my 1500 saved items start duplicating upon reinstalling the app.
I logged out, erased the app and tried reinstalling on all my devices, same problem. In a last ditch effort as I thought it was an issue with the iPhone 13, I started from scratch again and began with a reinstall on the iPad mini 5, it started well and waypoints/tracks, etc were populating normally. This morning I noticed they were all duplicating again on the newly installed app.
How can I prevent this? I really do not want to go through and delete each individual saved item.

Just a quick update, I've noticed that some of my saved items are now duplicating 3-4 times.

Continuing the fiasco, had to stop trying to download my saved data as maps were being downloaded four times and eating up all the space on my iPad.
No response from Gaia support yet.

Same issue here. I have hundreds of waypoints doubled
Gaia support needs to have a look here and fix this bug!

I too have the same problem. I have run Gaia in my iPhone X and my iPad mini 4 for several years with no problems. Then last month I had trouble syncing my iPad. After many tied and fail attempts to fix this, I uninstalled and reinstalled Gaia on my iPad. Now it appears to be duplicating all my data. I have closed the app on my iPad after several hours of it trying to sync, duplicate my data. I have attached my respond from the help line. I it just me or has there been more issues since "Outside" has taken ownership of the app?

I have an open bug report for this issue and we’re continuing to track it in our system, but unfortunately, we don’t have an ETA on when you can expect a fix.
