iOS app STOPS downloading / hangs!!!!
I have been trying to download map layers to iPhone 13, iOS 17.x.x
Starts to download; 1 layer downloads and get a "Success". The remaining layers stop downloading and just hang. iPhone is plugged in and the Gaia app is in the foreground with no display timeout. Over 12 hours and still the progress bars haven't moved and the % downloaded is not displayed.
This is absurd. For years now folks have been raising this issue to GAIA and still no solution? I have found similar posts from 7 years ago.
For this to take hours and still not be successful is ridiculous; I can download high def movies in no time using the same iPhone on the same WiFi.
Time to finally give in and move to another app? I'm thinking yep, and steer everyone I know, and everyone they know, (tell 1 person, they tell 7, each of those 7 tell 7, ....)

Agree. Map downloads haved slowed to where normal is to hang, and occasionally the download is as fast as a "slow download" used to be. Maybe Gaia can use some of their [estimated]$200M windfall from the price increase to rent time on faster servers?
