All Saved Data Removed From Folders
I have been trying to get support with an issue for over 5 days now without anyone responding. The fact that there is not a phone number to call and actually talk to a person is ridiculous. I have been recommending Gaia GPS to people for years, and have used it exclusively, but if they cannot provide any support at all within a full week, that will change.
In my Gaia, I have multiple folders each with their own waypoints, routes, etc. For example I have a folder for waterfalls, and another for peaks, and another for ice climbing, then inside of my "Canyoneering" folder, I had a folder for each canyon. That made it very simple for me to hide and show what I specifically wanted for whatever adventure I was on for the day.
A week ago, every single folder and sub-folder was shown as empty, and every single way point, route, track, etc, were all put into one random folder, completely unorganized. There is no way it could have happened in my pocket, it was definitely a bug in the software. Now I have like 2,500 waypoints just randomly in a folder, and to reorganize them myself would be ridiculous (imagine having 200 waypoints named "Parking" and having to figure out where each of them is for).

Same issue here. It's been happening repeatedly since at least mid 2022 when support told me: "Our Engineers are currently working on a fix for this issue." .

Did you try to send, for example, a set of waypoints displayed on a web page to an existing or new folder by selecting the checkbox at the top of the listing? Until very recently, that selected only those data showing on that page. Then, you could file them in a designated folder. When you check that box now, Gaiagps selects *all* your data points in that category. The stupid app just sent all 8,000 of my waypoints to single folder! That removes all filed waypoints from their original folders. Monumentally bad programming.

I had this happen a few months ago and spent an hour reorganizing everything. I just did the last update March 13 2025 and it just blew all my data out of the folders into a mile long list of waypoints and routes all scrambled. I AM DONE. Bye. Reluctantly I just downloaded up for a free trial of ONX
