Maps not downloading. Have tried all the stock advice offered here. This problem has persisted for several years
I can't download maps.
I cant even get the app to show the green bar showing what is currently downloading except after many tried. If I press resume downloads after that, nothing happens. I keep the screen on, connected to wifi and cellular data, strong signals, all settings are fine. For hours. It will say no downloads in progress.
I restart my phone, the app, I have tried every day for a week now. My trip is about to start.
None of the stock advice offered here has been useful. In fact, much of it isn't even useful because the app fails to perform as predicted by the navigation directions.
Premium since 2020 and it gets me this?

I was able to get past this by deleting the application and data from my iPad. The first time it still failed. The second time it worked. I did also receive this from Gaia support, but never got a chance to try the procedure:
Can you let me know the results of the following steps?
- Remove the Gaia Overland map source from the Layers menu. Layers menu > Add map layers (at bottom) > **Category___** > **Map Source___** > X Remove. This will delete this layer from any Saved maps, but you can download the maps again later.
- Force close Gaia GPS
- Wait 30 seconds
- Open Gaia GPS and re-add the map source. Layers menu > Add map layers (at bottom) > **Category___** > **Map Source___** > Add.
- Any maps with this layer on your account will have been archived. Follow these steps to unarchive them: Archiving, Unarchiving, and Recovering Lost Data
