Intrusive ad this morning

So, I am new to Gaia, walking along this morning in Saguaro NP with my android phone running Gaia and all of a suddent this racket starts, some big pop up ad is front and center on my phone.  Needless to say, entirely incompatible with any kind of wilderness experience.  This has NEVER happened before and I have just recently paid for Gaia premium on install.  I should not be seeing ANY ads if I have paid for an app.  Has anyone else experienced this?
