Pointer not rotating

The pointer follows me but no longer rotates until I restart phone, then it happens again.  Google maps pointer rotates fine.

  Have you tried to go into Settings>Storage and then cleared the Cache (that is the path on the iOS). When I was having GPS/Compass issues in a past issue, this solved it for me. Make sure to hard close the app and re-open it after you clear the cache.
