Can't hide folder when there are too many items

I'm having an issue on Android where if I have a folder that has too many items, hiding it from the map doesn't seem to do anything.  

The folder in question has 240 waypoints and routes.  On the web, when I hide it, it seems to work ok.  I mean, sometimes I have to toggle it a couple of times before everything hides.  When I try this on Android, the toggle does nothing.

Has anybody else had this problem?

  I'm having the same issue with all of my folders. None of the eye icons are selected yet the map is showing everything.
