How to print up map of large area at Fed X office?

Below is a link to a article by Andrew Skukra that talks about exporting Gaia map and others to Fed X Office to have them print off full color paper maps for your trip. He does not explain how to do it. I was hoping to have the entire map area I selected with Nat geo trails layer printed off in 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of paper for my trip. Can you please provide instructions on how to do this. Ill also submit a request , Im sure its simple I just need a quick answer. Thank you.

  Hi,

  If you have a Gaia GPS Membership, you can print maps from the website: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003526147-Printing-on-GaiaGPS-com

  When your system print dialogue window opens, you should have the option to save as a PDF.

  In this article you show a picture of a large detailed map printed at print center. I understand that you create PDF file of map and then take that to print office but how do you make large "Detailed" map? A detailed description of the process would be helpful.

  To print a large-scale map that displays the details available at higher zoom levels, I would recommend the following steps:

  • export PDF files of each section of your map at higher zoom levels by following these steps: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003526147-Printing-on-GaiaGPS-com
  • stitch those files together in third party software (such as Adobe Photoshop or Gimp)
