Saving GPX files

I'm have trouble figuring out how to save routes I create as GPX files. Do I need a subscription to be able to do this? I want to transfer them to a hand held GPS.

  No subscription needed. Where are you trying to export from -- gaiagps.com, or the app (iOS, or Android)?

  I also am looking for an ability to create a route from a GPX file, as exported from CalTopo on MacOS. I have managed to do this in the past but now all file uploads (via the Gaia web interface) are assumed to be tracks which is too limiting, or perhaps I have just forgotten how to do it...

  Hi Steve,

  There are some programs that will convert tracks to routes. The one I use is called Adze.
